The Tragic and Fateful 27 Club
The 27 Club is a list as long as your arm full of famous singers and musicians who all died at the age of 27.
After your teenage years and just when your life gets into adulthood, 27 is a good age to know if the celebrities are going to make it or not. They either get all drugged up, alcoholed out or settle down and have a long career and family life.
Here is our top ten of who’s who in the 27 Club:
Jesse Belvin, an RnB singer died in a car accident on February 6, 1960.
Dickie Pride, a Rock N Roll singer, died of an overdose on sleeping pills on the 26th March 1969.
Richey Edwards, Lyricist and guitarist for the Manic Street Preachers. Disappeared presumed dead November 23, 2008. His body has ever been found. He would have been 27.
Jimi Hendrix, singer, songwriter died of Asphyxiation on the 18th September 1970.
Janis Joplin, was the lead vocalist and songwriter for Big Brother and the Holding Company died of a Heroin overdose on the 4th September 1970.
Jim Morrison, the lead singer of the Door died of Heart Failure on the 3rd July 1971.
Kurt Cobain, lead singer of Nirvana died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head on the April 5, 1994.
Brian Jones one of the original Rolling Stones died of an accidental drowning on the July 3, 1969.
Maria Serrano Serrano was a backing singer for Passion Fruits died in a Plane Crash on the November 24, 2001.
Amy Winehouse, singer died from Alcohol poisoning on July 23, 2011.
