Ouija is mixture of two languages Oui “yes” is French and Ja “yes” is German. So basically it is a yes yes board or sometimes known as a Spirit board or talking board.
It was the late 19th century that the board became popular with connecting to spirits. You could even buy it as a board game for yourself or children. Today the game is still widely available but a lot of people do not know the correct way to “open” and “close” the board.
If you do not know or never have used the board before, make sure you are with another person.
Playing the board is really easy, always keep an open mind and remember that spirits can lie too.
Make sure that you will not be interrupted while playing the board and that you are using at a time where you do not need to rush.
You can use dim lighting in the room, but this is not necessary.
Sit down with the board and face the other person. Now this is the time to protect yourself and your surroundings. Say a short prayer, asking for the brightest and the best spirits to come through and to protect the building that you are in and everyone who is watching and paying the game.
When you are comfortable to may begin. Place one of your index finger on the planchette with whoever else is playing with you. Start by moving the planchette around in a circle to build up the energy.
Ask questions start by asking is there any spirits who want to communicate with us? When it moves always say Thank You. Remember they were people too and will probably get annoyed if you shout and get really nasty with the board.
When you are finished talking to the spirit, always say Thank you for communicating with us and say goodbye. If the board has a goodbye on it, take the planchette towards it.
Don’t ask if it’s your family member
Don’t give the spirit any information
Do play sober, no one wants a bad experience
Do not put ideas into their minds, as so will pretend
Always remember if you do come into contact with spirits from many years ago, most of them did not know how to read or write. So you’re best asking yes and no questions.
